The Fort Wayne TinCaps are closing out their exciting 2010 campaign. With your Comcast On Demand service you can see all of the in game action for yourself.

The TinCaps closed out their series with Lake County on 8/13. Nate Freiman’s three-run homer accounted for all the TinCaps’ runs in a 3-2 victory over the Lake County Captains Friday at Parkview Field. LHP Mike Watt worked four scoreless innings in a no-decision.

On August 12th, the TinCaps started the second game of their series with the Lake County Captains. RHP Matt Lollis fired six strong innings but took the loss. Not only that but he also doubled at the plate. The TinCaps scored their only run in the bottom of the fifth. Danny Payne walked, stole second and scored two batters later on Meeley’s RBI single. The TinCaps took the loss 5-1.

The TinCaps took on the Lake County Captains on Wednesday, August 11th, at Parkview Field. The TinCaps put together two-out rallies in the early stages of the game. In the first, Jason Hagerty doubled, Freiman walked, then Jedd Gyorko smashed a two-run double to left-center to put Fort Wayne ahead, 2-0.

On August 10th, the TinCaps continued their series with Bowling Green. In the longest game of the year at three hours and forty-eight minutes, it was a pitcher’s duel through most of the game. The TinCaps’ Everett Williams had a two-hit game including a two-run double. The Hot Rods snapped their winning streak losing 9-5.

On 8/9, the TinCaps played the Bowling Green Hot Rods and won 2-0. The win gave the TinCaps an 8 game winning strek, their longest of the season. At one point the TinCaps pitchers retired eleven players in a row.
